The 200 point barrier has been broken for the first time ever!
Wizard Of Oz scored an insane 211.64 points topping the previous high score by 20 points. Before this week Jolly Roger held the top three all time high scores. Now they will have to settle with just having five of the top seven all time high scores.
MFL survivor pool
As we start out a second round of the survivor pool we had four managers brave enough to enter the fray. Three advanced with Greg going out on a New Orleans loss. For the contenders that are still alive, get your picks in for week 5!

Blunder of the week
White Hart Bobby Layne gets the honors this week because manager Euan got a bit of do-over (technical issues) and still managed to lose both of his matches! There were several moves that would have turned the tide against Greg including playing first round draftee Trevor Lawrence, or stud wide receiver Kalif Raymond. Even playing Jamaal Williams over Myles Gaskin would have been enough. I really don’t know what you were thinking…
Standings
GS
7-1, 467.92 points scored
Greg had a good week, winning both matches and moving into first place for the first time this season. The marquee matchup was against White Hart Bobby Layne where the match came down to Monday Night Football. Greg and QB Justin Herbert needed to outscore Derek Carr by 6 to get the win. In the end Herbert edged Carr by 6.8 points giving Greg the 1.04 point win.
Wizard Of Oz
6-2, 545.72 points scored
Joe’s team continues its march upwards, moving from fifth last week up to second on points this week. That is what a massive score can do for you. Some weeks everything just goes right. Only two players failed to break 10 points and then only another two failed to score at least 20 points. But even as impressive as this week was, it could have been better. Starter Try Sermon was outscored by Kenneth Gainwell by 9 points. Wizard Of Oz is showing that after a few years in the wilderness they are contenders again.
Joe Dubya
6-2, 528.62 points scored
The other Joe comfortably won both of his match ups this week too, though he was losing both going into Monday Night Football, with three players left. And those three players delivered, scoring a combined 48 points. RB Austin Ekeler scored a team high 28 points, moving up to RB2 on the year. And who is the RB1? That is Derrick Henry, also on Joe’s team. Joe can easily claim to have the best running back room in the entire league.
Westminster Wildcats
6-2, 424.34 points scored
The Wildcats went into free fall this week. They went from first to fourth, only scoring 55 points, the second lowest score of the year so far.
Tom Brady hurt his biggest fan with a down week, only scoring 11 points on his return to Foxborough. Gronk also hurt his manager by not playing at all. A few broken ribs and he decides to take the day off, what a wimp.
Jolly Roger
5-3, 565.82 points scored
With the second highest score on the week, a mere 153 points, Jolly Roger gets another two wins and moves up to fifth place, up one place from last week and closer to where the team’s fans expect them to be. Team management will be happy to see that they are still the over all scoring leaders on the season, thought they are only 20 points ahead of Wizard Of Oz. The rumored return of Christian McCaffrey could help widen that lead though.
White Hart Bobby Layne
4-4, 515.84 points scored
White Hart Bobby Layne had a rough week and lost both of their matches. Let’s just chalk it up to technology issues and move on.
No-Bell Prizes
4-4, 422.66 points scored
The No-Bell Prizes managed to stay at .500 this week by splitting their matches. The secret? Play the lowest scoring team. That really helps. Despite failing to break 100 points for a second week in a row, this was a bounce back week, with the team scoring 22 more points than week 3. Maybe week 5 will be better.
Jason Edelman
3-5, 407.66 points scored
Jason was unable to get anything going this week and lost another two matches. For a team that has been one of the top seeds in the playoffs in recent years, this is shocking. However the team has a ton of potential and can still turn it around. Dalvin Cook just needs to look like his old self and all the worries will melt away.
TC
3-5, 359.58 points scored
League founder TC has his best week of the season, breaking 100 points for the first time and also getting two wins for the first time. The team was led by a big games from Diontae Johnson and James Conner. But when Conner is among your star players you have to wonder if the good luck can continue. For now, just celebrate the wins!
Dan L
2-6, 394.74 points scored
Team Dan scored 111 points, their highest score of the year (by 1 point) but only managed to get one win due to stiff competition from Jolly Roger. RB10 David Montgomery scored 22 but looks likely to miss 4 or 5 weeks so Dan will have to come up with a new plan. Luckily handcuff Damien Williams is already on the roster and is ready to step in.
Adam
1-7, 383.3 points scored
Adam came very close to a second win this week, falling 12 points short. And those 12 points (and more!) were all on the bench. Jalen Hurts score 8 points more than starter Josh Allen. Randall Cobb had 14 more points than Robby Anderson. And TE C.J. Uzomah outscored Jonnu Smith by 15 points. But even with those 37 points Adam wouldn’t have come close to beating Wizard Of Oz this week.
Sweet Lou
1-7, 292.9 points scored
Louis has been getting great production from QB Taylor Heinicke (currently QB14 on the year) but is struggling to get consistent production at running back. One week Peyton Barber is the RB3, the next week gets 1 attempt for 0 yards. It’s enough to drive a fantasy football manager crazy.
Power rankings
The power rankings saw some movement this week with Wizard Of Oz moving from fifth place all the way up to third. This was on the back of several starters increasing their rest of season outlook. Tyreek Hill went from 9th to 6th, Jonathan Taylor gained two positions to 19, and Joe Burrow rose from 105 to 86.
Weekly high scores
- Wizard Of Oz (142.04)
- Jolly Roger (160.72)
- White Hart Bobby Layne (164.04)
- Wizard Of Oz (211.64)
