Reminder, bye weeks start in week 6, so make sure that you check your starting line up.
Do you know what’s cool? 195 points. Do you know what’s even cooler? More than 200 points! So I guess that makes Greg’s week not very cool. The team could have broken 200 points, but Hunter Henry and his 16 points were on the bench. So do better Greg, the league is disappointed with you and your second highest ever league score.

Adam’s choice of the Raiders over the Bears proved to be a big mistake (almost as big of one as Jon Gruden’s emails) leaving just the No-Bell Prizes and Dan L alive in the pool going into week 6. Get your picks in!

Blunder of the week
White Hart Bobby Layne came so close to winning both of his matches this week…but points were left on the bench. A week after Euan moved Heaven and Earth to get Myles Gaskin into the starting lineup Gaskin was back on the bench and scored 26 points. The week would have been much better if you had just trusted the gas man. Let that be a lesson to you!
Trade of the week
Multiple trades went down this week! Greg gave up a first and a fourth to get Kareem Hunt from Dan. Hunt, currently the RB4, should provide some much needed depth at RB and help Greg as the season progresses.
In the other trade Joe Dubya also gave up a first and a fourth, but in the 2023 draft, to get Laviska Shenault from White Hart Bobby Layne. Both Shenault and Hunt were started by their new teams, but Hunt had a much better day, so Greg wins the trade of the week.
Standings
GS
9-1, 663.84 points scored
Extending their lead, GS put up the highest score in franchise history easily winning both matches this week. Just about everything went right. Justin Herbert threw for four TDs and ran in another. Najee Harris gets more attempts each week and got his first 100 yard game. League winner Antonio Brown looks young again, scoring twice against the Dolphins. Finally DK Metcalf managed to have a great game despite the Jalen Ramsey treatment. The only thing that went wrong was at TE, and that is a tough position for everyone.Joe Dubya
8-2, 692.28 points scored
Joe had an amazing week. His 163 points was the second highest score of the week (and his second highest score ever), he moved into second place, he took the lead in the league scoring title. And this week he owes it all to Mark Andrews and his 32 point Monday night. It’s not often that you can more than double the score of Travis Kelce. So cheers to Mark Andrews, the TE1 on the week and TE2 on the year.Wizard Of Oz
7-3, 667.7 points scored
At the end of the Sunday games Wizard Of Oz had only scored 62 points and looked like they were in danger of losing both matches. Saquon was injured and Sam Darnold was a dud this week. But Jonathan Taylor and Marquise Brown really came through scoring a combined 59 points and lifting the Wizards over Sweet Lou. However you can’t win them all and the team still lost to team GS.Westminster Wildcats
7-3, 548.98 points scored
Despite scoring 124 points the Wildcats walk away from week 5 with one win and one less. Easily defeating TC they were not able to hold off Jason’s Mecole Hardman who scored 12 on Sunday night, giving his team a small victory. The Wildcats went with the stars and scrubs method for their starting lineup. Three players scored 74% of their total points. Experts agree, it is best to get production from your entire team not just a few players.Jolly Roger
6-4, 691.8 points scored
Jolly Roger keeps trying to win the hard way, often fighting with one hand tied behind their back (or maybe just on their bench). If they want to win with their second highest scorer on the bench, good for them. Keep it up I say! However it has led Jolly Roger to fall 0.48 points behind Joe Dubya in the race for the scoring title. Will Christian McCaffrey return this week and propel his team back to top of the standings? It’s going to be fun to find out!Jason Edelman
5-5, 536.14 points scored
The Trey Lance experiment did not go the way the Jason envisioned. Lance only scored 14 points with zero TDs. Jason will have to go back to the drawing board and come up with new plan for next week as Lance is rumored to missed next week with a sprained knee. However the team does have many options including Matt Ryan who was QB9 this week. At least the team knows they can count on Davante Adams when they need a big game.White Hart Bobby Layne
4-6, 639.48 points scored
Ouch. When you score 123 points you can usually expect to get one win. But not Bobby. They lost both matches 123-125. That just hurts. On the plus side Zeke and Alvin Kamara both had great games. But Kamara gets week 6 off, so team management needs to figure out where the points are going to come from. Maybe Myles Gaskin can help out…No-Bell Prizes
4-6, 497.84 points scored
The No-Bell Prizes had a disastrous week. Starting QB Russell Wilson is going to miss several weeks with a finger injury and backups Tua Tagovailoa and Tyrod Talor are both still injured (though Tua could return). Clyde Edwards-Helaire was also injured and will miss a few games leaving the team very thin at RB. What looked like a tiny ray of sunshine in all of this bad news was the chance to get a victory over TC. A 34 point lead going into Monday night seemed like it should be enough, but a monster second half by Lamar Jackson erased all hope for the Prizes. Some weeks fantasy football is just cruel.TC
4-6, 443.46 points scored
TC scored another win this week, sticking a knife into the heart of the No-Bell Prizes in the process. If this is how Lamar Jackson is going to perform then TC will be a contender every week. The score could have been even higher had TE2 on the week David Njoku been a starter. He put up 7 receptions for 149 yards and a TD, but it was all on the bench.Dan L
3-7, 520.02 points scored
Dan snuck by White Hart Bobby Layne with a Monday night miracle. Dan was trailing the entire match from Thursday on, but 17 points from Michael Pittman was all that he needed to steal the win. Courtland Sutton and Dawson Knox also had good weeks. In what could be a good sign for the entire league, there were 5 TEs that scored more than 15 points this week, and this is the third week this season that is true. Maybe the position is getting a little bit better.Adam
2-8, 501.9 points scored
After weeks of trying Adam finally got his second win on the season by defeating Sweet Lou. Josh Allen really showed off this week throwing for 3 TDs in the pouring rain. Of equal importance he protected the ball, with zero interceptions or fumbles lost which helped keep the score high. (Mahomes should take note.) Adam might have thought his season high score of 118 would be enough to also get his third win, but playing GS this week meant is was not to be. Adam will hope to carry this momentum into next week.Sweet Lou
1-9, 361.52 points scored
Sweet Lou kept on trucking this week but wasn’t helped out by Taylor Heinicke or the inactive George Kittle in the starting line up. Reminder to everyone, check your lineups! Especially with bye weeks starting it is important that everyone set a valid lineup. A spark of good news for Sweet Lou is that Kadarius Toney was having a great game until he was ejected. Hopefully he can stay on the field and continue to put up good numbers.Power rankings
Multi-week injuries to Russell Wilson and Clyde Edwards-Helaire caused a big drop in the power rankings for the No-Bell Prizes. The injury to Wilson also hit Tyler Lockett’s value further hurting the No-Bell Prizes. On the other end of the spectrum Jolly Roger saw their score go up as Christian McCaffrey could return this week.
