The results are starting to look a lot more like normal.
- ✅ Christian McCaffrey scored more than 20 points.
- ✅ Patrick Mahomes is the top scoring player on the week.
- ✅ Jolly Roger leads the league in scoring.
- ❌ Jolly Roger is in first place in the league.
Well, not everything can change in just one week. Jolly Roger currently sits in third and still has a lot of ground to make up before the end of the regular season. Getting the number one seed heading into to playoffs is still possible, but it is a stretch. The number two seed is well within reach though.
Blunder of the week
The No-Bell Prizes only scored 59 points this week. Had they started their optimal lineup they would have scored 115 points. That is impressively bad coaching. Only two players in the starting lineup should have been there; Leonard Fournette and CeeDee Lamb. Too bad the team is trying to make a push for playoffs and is not trying to tank. Time for the team to get their act together.
The No-Bell Prizes sure felt like they were sacked too.
Trade Block
With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, the No-Bell Prizes would like to put superstar Odell Beckham Jr on the trade block. He has a ton of potential on a very good Rams team especially with Robert Woods being out for the season. All serious offers will be considered.
Standings
GS
19-1, 1262.38 points scored
Despite scoring just 97 points Greg continues on his winning ways with another two victories. All four starting running backs scored in the double digits making up for none of the three wide receivers getting much going at all. QB Justin Herbert also struggled this week with Minnesota holding him to less than 200 yards passing. Russell Wilson looked at those 195 yards with envy.Joe Dubya
15-5, 1189.88 points scored
Joe Dubya kept pace with GS also getting another two wins. This was a big for the team with Nick Chubb on the COVID list and not available. Joe looks forward to next week, hopefully getting Kyler Murray back too. All of the injuries and absences show just how important it is to have lots of depth on your roster.Jolly Roger
12-8, 1299.7 points scored
Cam Newton yelled “I’m back” to the crowd and this week Jolly Roger did the same. Christian McCaffrey played like his old self, even if he did not score any touchdowns, and Patrick Mahomes reminded us all of why is the number one ranked dynasty QB. Aaron Jones got a beat up on the week, but Jolly Roger has AJ Dillon waiting in the wings. The weekly high score of 171 points was also enough to put Jolly Roger in first in overall scoring for the season.Wizard Of Oz
12-8, 1142.02 points scored
0.85 points was all that separated Wizard Of Oz from two wins this weeks. Jonathan Taylor was the RB1 on the week and Tyreek and Deebo were the wide receivers two and three respectively, but the rest of the team feel asleep at the wheel. Jared Goff scored less than 5 points (finally, Russell Wilson had a better fantasy week than someone!) and Rashaad Penny got no work and scored no points. The whole team is going to need to pull together.White Hart Bobby Layne
10-10, 1185.12 points scored
White Hart Bobby Layne won one and lost one this week. When looking at the week Euan could not have expected that the win would be against Wizard Of Oz and loss against last place Sweet Lou. But that is how it goes sometimes. Any given Sunday anyone can beat anyone else.Westminster Wildcats
10-10, 986.56 points scored
The Wildcats lost both matches this week to fall to .500 on the year and are in the sixth and final playoff spot. Tom Brady struggled (though still did much better than Russell Wilson) and the rest of the team could not pick up the slack. The Wildcats were on top of the world while Gronk was healthy. He must be the key to their success. Come on Gronk, we have all seen enough of your commercials, now get back into the game.No-Bell Prizes
10-10, 963.68 points scored
It is next to impossible to recover from two players goosing you in the same week. That happened to the No-Bell Prizes this week with both starting tight ends, T.J. Hockenson and Mike Gesicki, scoring zero points. Russell Wilson came back, but his 5.64 points say it might have been a week too soon. At least CeeDee Lamb had a great week with 25 points.Jason Edelman
9-11, 971.12 points scored
According to messages in Slack, last year’s runner up and current seventh place team, is ready to throw in the towel for the 2021 season. As we approach the trade deadline Jason has said they will be a seller, though not giving away any players. So if you are making a championship push take a look at Jason’s roster and see if there are any pieces that will help you out.Dan L
8-12, 1022.38 points scored
Dan dropped both matches this week after scoring only 88 points. A goose by Russell Gage did not help much, but when the Falcons only score 3 points on the week (*cough* *cough* 0 from the Seahawks) it is difficult to have any players that are fantasy relevant.TC
7-13, 830.78 points scored
FantasySharks set the lineup for TC this week and did a decent job at it. The team scored 86 points but lost both of their games. As we reach the final stage of the regular season it is still possible for TC to get a top pick in the draft - he still owns his own first and second round pick. Scouting rookies is one of the best parts of dynasty, so hopefully TC will find some time to do just that.Adam
5-15, 967.32 points scored
Adam scored 86 points this week and got his first double victory of the season. 🎉 Even though 86 points was only the fifth highest score, Adam played the teams with the lowest score on the week (The No-Bell Prizes) and third lowest (Jason). That is called taking advantage of your opportunities. Well done Adam.Sweet Lou
3-17, 718.2 points scored
Not to be outdone by Adam, Sweet Lou also got two victories this week, tripling the team’s win total. They scored a season high 104 points making them the second highest scoring team on the week, and the only team other than Jolly Roger to break 100 points. It was a really good week at the bottom of the table.Power rankings
The biggest mover this week is Sweet Lou who gained four thousand points. Most of those came from the increased value of Rhamondre Stevenson. He jumped up 101 spots from 178th to 77th on the back of a great performance this week. James Robinson also chipped in moving up to 24th rank adding almost two thousand points of additional value.
