Week 13 Review

The Lions win for the first time this season on a walk off touchdown to Amon-Ra St. Brown. Unless you are a Minnesota fan it was a feel good moment.

Team GS put up a 150 points. That puts them just 54 points behind Jolly Roger for the single season scoring title and the prize money that come with it. Jolly Roger are still the favorites to win the scoring title, but anything is possible.

Three teams are chasing the number two seed in the playoffs and the bye that comes with it. Depending on how the games play out this week all three teams could end up with the same record so the bye is truly up for grabs.

Three more teams sit at 14-12, all competing for the last two playoff spots. A slip up by any of them could end their playoff aspirations. To add more excitement a mere 9 points separate the Westminster Wildcats and the No-Bell Prizes, so both teams could win and still be out. White Hart Bobby Layne has plenty of points on the season, but will need to get the double win to secure their place in the playoffs.

Week 14 is going to bring a lot of excitement and drama to the Footclan & Friends Dynasty Fantasy Football League. A fitting end to the regular season.

Standings

GS

23-3, 1610.76 points scored

GS returned to winning ways setting the highest score of the week with 150 points. This easily dispatched the number two team, Joe Dubya, and the number four team Jolly Roger - both teams that believe they can snatch the title from GS this year. In week 14, GS will play White Hart Bobby Layne and Dan L. The odds makers currently have WHBL as small favorites (0.5 points) and GS as the favorites over Dan (the line is -45.7). No matter what happens GS will be the number one seed going into the playoffs.

Joe Dubya

18-8, 1501.74 points scored

Joe split his matches this week, only scoring 93 points. This was enough to beat Adam, but fell short of toppling GS. Joe will be looking forward to getting a rested Nick Chubb back just in time for a final push for the second bye.

Wizard Of Oz

17-9, 1467.14 points scored

With Joe Dubya losing a match, Wizard Of Oz had a chance to close in on the second bye, but the team also split their matches and was not able to make up any ground. The Wizards have been relying on Jonathan Taylor all year, but will have to survive week 14 with him on bye. That could spell trouble for the team as they go up against the highly motivated Westminster Wildcats.

Jolly Roger

16-10, 1664.54 points scored

For the second week in a row Jolly Roger has gone up against the top scoring team and has split their matches. The team’s roster raises a few questions. Will they lean on Patrick Mahomes who has led them to three championships in a row, or will they kick him to the curb and start Aaron Rodger? And is Javonte Williams the CMC replacement the team needs as they push for another championship? Tune in a find out!

White Hart Bobby Layne

14-12, 1520.14 points scored

White Hart Bobby Layne scored 115 points and got two massively important victories this week. They allow the team to stay level with the Wildcats and the Prizes, edging both out on points scored. The team’s top two receivers, Justin Jefferson and Cooper Kupp, both had impressive weeks, but the team may have to figure out what to do with the spot vacated by the injured Adam Thielen. In the all important week 14, Euan’s team must play GS and Adam. Two wins and the team will play post season football. Any losses and that will be in doubt.

Westminster Wildcats

14-12, 1314 points scored

The Wildcats blinked this week, dropping a head-to-head match against White Hart Bobby Layne. A win there would have put the Wildcats in the driver’s seat for a playoff spot, but now they must play out their matches and hope for the best. Facing off against Wizard Of Oz and Sweet Lou for the playoffs week 14 will surely be stressful for team management.

No-Bell Prizes

14-12, 1305.68 points scored

The Prizes sit just outside of the playoff spots despite winning both matches and having the second highest score on the week. In week 14 they must win both of their matches and score a lot of points in the process (or have the Wildcats or White Hart Bobby Layne have a horrible week) to have any hope of making the playoffs. Two tough opponents stand in their way; Jolly Roger and Joe Dubya. This season the Prizes are 3-0 against Jolly Roger and 1-2 against Joe Dubya.

Dan L

11-15, 1321.24 points scored

Team Dan split their matches this week, losing to the Wildcats while defeating TC. This puts them in eighth place, too far out to make the playoffs, but also not getting a top draft pick. A tough spot to be in.

Jason Edelman

11-15, 1220.7 points scored

In what is a common refrain this week, Team Edelman also split their matches while only scoring 59 points. Even the bench players looked warn out in this one. Former number one over all draft pick N’Keal Harry scored -2 points on the bench with 0 receptions and 1 fumble. Maybe Harry will get a new lease on life on a team other than the Patriots.

Adam

7-19, 1201.48 points scored

Adam lost both matches this week in his race with TC for the number two overall pick in the next draft. Adam has outscored TC by nearly 200 points though, so Adam will hope that TC gets a big win in week 14.

TC

7-19, 1018.4 points scored

TC also lost both matches this week and looks set to get that number two draft pick. However they are playing Sweet Lou in week 14 and that is a match they can win. No matter what happens TC will have a good draft pick next year.

Sweet Lou

4-22, 880.4 points scored

Sweet Lou is the only team not to break 1000 points on the season, but it could still happen. 120 points is not unheard of. It is more points than the team has managed any week this season. No matter what happens in week 14, Sweet Lou will have the number one overall draft pick. Personally I can not wait to see who they target.

Power rankings

The final rankings before the playoffs. If all the matches play out according to the rankings then the No-Bell Prizes will both matches and both the Wildcats and White Hart Bobby Layne will split their matches. This will leave the Prizes on the outside looking in. Never have I been so happy that these rankings are so inaccurate.
