It was the week that felt like it would never end, but it is finally over and we have the winners of our first two playoff matches.

Despite being a fantasy free agent, Tyler Huntley was the QB1 this week scoring 35 points with 215 passing yards and two TDs with another 73 yards and two more TDs on the ground. Photo by Randy Litzinger/Icon Sportswire.
Last week
White Hart Bobby Layne vs. Jolly Roger
This one was pretty much over after Thursday night. A combined 63 points from Mahomes and Kelce started out the week perfectly if you were on team Jolly Roger, and made the week a never ending nightmare for White Hart Bobby Layne. Cooper Kupp did everything in his power to close the gap on Tuesday night, but the deficit was just too big. In the end Jolly Roger won 138-104.
Westminster Wildcats vs. Wizard Of Oz
Wizard Of Oz defeated the Westminster Wildcats 114-53. The engine that has driven the Wildcats all year, the connection between Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, failed at just the wrong time. Brady and Gronk scored less than 9 total points, which was less than just Kyle Pitts, TE for the Wizards. In the end James should be proud of his team, making the playoffs after just one year of rebuilding. With an abundance of draft picks in 2022 the team should get even better.
Preview of next week
Semi-Final 1 - Jolly Roger vs. Joe Dubya
This is a repeat of the 2018 semi-final match. In that low scoring affair Jolly Roger defeated Joe Dubya 95-89. Joe will be hoping for revenge this time. And Joe may actually have the advantage at the tight end position this time. Mark Andrews is TE1 on the season and Travis Kelce will have to get off the COVID list to even play. Since the inception of the league the teams have faced each other 14 times, with Jolly Roger winning 10 times. More recently though the teams are 2-2.
Semi-Final 2 - Wizard Of Oz vs. GS
Wizard Of Oz handed GS one of his few losses this season when the two teams faced each other in week 12. Then GS only scored 74 points, the lowest total of the season until this week when GS only managed 71. Luckily for Greg he had the bye. After week 12 GS bounced backed and scored 150 points. They will hope to do the same this week.
The headline battle this week will be between Jonathan Taylor (RB1) for Wizard Of Oz and Najee Harris (RB6) for GS. Advantage Wizards. Wizard Of Oz will have a decision to make at QB. Joe Burrow has been their starter all season, but if GS starts Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins and points that Burrow scores could be naturalized. Advantage GS. Greg also has a decision to make. Will he be confident enough to start league winner Antonio Brown? Brown has been out for a long time, but the Bucs are depleted at wide receiver and Brown could pick up a lot of targets. I am glad I do not have to make that choice. Overall Wizard Of Oz leads the series between these teams 5-4.
5th Place Game - White Hart Bobby Layne vs. Westminster Wildcats
Last but not least there is the fifth place game. The winner gets a better draft position, so both teams are encouraged to give it their all. In the last two years the Wildcats are 1-3 against White Hart Bobby Layne and have not won since week 3 of the 2020 season. On paper this should be an easy win for the White Harts but the Wildcats have been punching way above their weight all season, continually stepping up when needed. So the question is, which player will step up? Will it be Jaylen Waddle or Mike Williams? Maybe Josh Jacobs? Perhaps Le’Veon Bell? Or Dak Prescott could just have a great week and this game will go as predicted.
Power rankings
The power rankings this week show that Joe Dubya is really getting stronger. The big increase is due to smaller increases for most players in his starting line up. In particular Keenan Allen and Hunter Renfrow have increased in value. This is the perfect time of the year for a team to be playing their best ball!
