Week 2 Review

It was another exciting week in the NFL. There were some shootouts (Dolphins vs. Ravens) and some blowouts (Bills vs. Titans). And of course there were tons of fantasy points scored and some heart break too.

After the Sunday late game Joe Dubya held a 57 point advantage over Jolly Roger. The lead shrunk to 19 points after Aaron Jones went off for 30 points on Sunday Night Football. Each team had one player left going into Monday night, Joe Dubya had Derrick Henry and Jolly Roger had Stefon Diggs. Last year Henry averaged 22 points per game played while Diggs average a mere 13, never scoring more than 27. A 19 point lead should be more than enough cushion for Joe. Then the game happened. The Bills got up so far that Tennessee pulled their starters ending any hope for Joe.

Diggs scored 38 points while Henry didn’t even make it to 9 on just 13 carries. In the end Jolly Roger got the win and Joe got the bad beat. Especially since two of his starters didn’t score a single point.

TC got two surprising wins this week on the back of Lamar Jackson who scored 42 points! That was 43% of the team’s total points. TC as also wins the best manager of the week award for scoring 97.5% of the team’s total possible points. At the other end of the spectrum White Hart Bobby Layne gets the worst manager of the week award for only starting 66% of their possible points. This really hurts because they could have gotten a win if management made better decisions. (This is how the Bronco’s felt after week 1!) In particular Amari Copper’s 20 points would have been much better than Gabriel Davis’ zero…because he did not play. Of course that is a bit unfair to Euan who did not have any other players on Monday, and Davis was a late scratch.

Power rankings

Jolly Roger still sits on top of the power rankings after another dominate week. The biggest mover on the week was White Hart Bobby Layne who fell three spots to seventh. Only scoring 81 points will do that to you.

Survivor pool

And just like that, after only two weeks the initial survivor pool is over. Cincinnati undid both Adam and Joe Dubya, so they are the co-winners of this pool.

But now that everyone is out we can start over. So everyone get your picks in for week 3!

Blunder of the week

Greg wins the blunder of the week. He lost to TC by just 1.06 points after tight end Hunter Henry scored zero. All the while Greg had the legendary Brevin Jordan on his bench who had two receptions for three yards, totally 1.3 points - more than enough to get the win. Do better Greg! Your fans demand it of you.
