Evan Engram had the best game of his career in week 14. His 33 points were the most put up by any player this week and helped power Sweet Lou past both of his opponents. It is players giving their all, even when their team is already out of the playoffs that makes the sport so much fun. Great job Evan!
And a huge congratulations to Jolly Roger for winning the regular season scoring title for the fourth time in five seasons. In the end they edged out the No-Bell Prizes by a mere 1.46 points! Old Man needs to have a singed James Conner jersey hung over his fire place.
Match previews
GS vs. No-Bell Prizes
GS and The No-Bell Prizes are 1-1 against each other this season. GS won in week 6 and the Prizes got revenge in week 13. The No-Bell Prizes will have a though week with Dameon Pierce expected to miss with a sprained ankle and Tyler Lockett having a tough matchup. Not everything is rosy on the other side though. GS has a beat up D’Andre Swift and DK Metcalf has the same tough matchup as Lockett. Ja’Marr Chase could be the difference maker in this one.
Jason vs. Wizard Of Oz
Jason and Wizard Of Oz have also played twice this season, and Wizard Of Oz won both meetings in weeks three and ten. A source close to the team tells me that they are using these losses, by nearly 50 points in both meetings, as motivation. And things have indeed changed since week ten. Deshaun Watson has returned for Jason (if he will play in this meeting a different question) and Wizard Of Oz has lost star Deebo Samuel which could be a big blow to their playoff run. It is anyone’s game, though the power rankings have Jason as a slight favorite.
Power rankings
In a shocking development, No-Bell Prizes take the top spot in the power rankings from Jolly Roger. This is the only time all season that Jolly Roger hasn’t been number one. This is on the back of the No-Bell Prizes being the highest scoring team for each of the last three weeks, and that three week average is a big factor in the rankings. Could this spell doom for Jolly Roger’s title run?
