We had three teams change their name’s this week. Team Neeek became Flaccroni & Cheese, Team edelmaj2 because Purdy Good, and hilariously Jolly Rodger returned to Jolly Roger. At first I thought they were just trolling me by slightly changing their name, but it turns out it was just a typo - one that I hadn’t even noticed before now.
Trade of the Week
The trade of the week was undoubtedly the blockbuster between Dan and Greg. Greg (the 2 time defending champion) picks up Brian Robinson and Zay Flowers while Dan gets Tee Higgins. Dan is currently sitting pretty near the top of the standings while Greg is bolstering his running back room by adding the current RB3. This should allow Greg to bench Najee Harris who has been under performing so far.
Blunder of the Week
Clearly the biggest blunder was Greg not starting WR stud Nico Collins. In two weeks he has averaged 10 targets per game. In week 2 Collins put a great 24 points. This was much better than either Najee Harris or Chris Godwin and would have allowed Greg to win.
Review
Jolly Roger vs Joe Wojda
Jolly Roger snuck by with a win, 120-116. Until Nick Chubb went down Joe was considered the favorite based on Sleeper’s prediction. Chubb’s injury puts Joe in a tough spot. He will anxiously be awaiting the return of Austin Ekeler and be praying the rest of his RBs stay healthy this season.
Team JoePerm vs Team gee17
JoePerm had a solid victory over Team gee17 126-119. Saquon Barkley and James Cook combined for over 42 points more than making up for a quieter day from Tyreek Hill. Team manager Joe is going to be worried about the injuries to Burrow and Barkley though. Greg will finally be happy about starting D’Andre Swift and will hope he remains a focal point of Philadelphia’s offense - that way Swift can also be a focal point on Greg’s team.
No-Bell Prizes vs. Purdy Good
In a big blow out the Prizes beat the newly rebranded Purdy Good’s 127-70. Hockenson lead all tight ends this week with 22 points and Drake London bounced back with six receptions on eight targets for 67 yards and a touchdown. The match was lost for Jason’s team in the flex spot. His three starters combined for a total of 3.5 points.
Team Louiewallis vs. Team WhiteHartBobbyLayne
White Hart Bobby Layne got their first win 109-91. Louis must be worried having two starters on the Jets. Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall seemed promising earlier this year, but are now scary with Zach Wilson taking snaps for the Jets. Euan will have to juggle his line up for the next few weeks with David Montgomery suffering a thigh injury.
Team tccromp vs. That’s What Cheesehead
The two teams fighting for draft position had an exciting match with Adam taking the victory 88-62. Josh Allen, Zach Moss, and Ken Walker III all scored over 15 points. But the result seemed to be a bit too close for Tyler’s taste, because right after the week ended he put DJ Moore and Tutu Atwell on the trade block. Not to be out done, Adam has been aggressively shopping Zach Moss - week 2’s RB10.
Dan’s To Be Named Team vs. Flaccoroni & Cheese
Dan’s team stayed undefeated with a 112-83 win. He overcame a poor performance by Trevor Lawrence with big days by Tee Higgins and DeVonta Smith. On the other side Neeek must be happy with the performance of rookies Anthony Richardson and Sam LaPorta.
