Did you know that two-point conversion count for 0 points in our league? In most scoring settings a player will get two fantasy points for scoring on a two-point conversion. I actually noticed this when moving the league to Sleeper this summer, but I thought that with the big move I should try to limit other changes. So I didn’t bring it up. But this week, Tyler Lockett had a two-point conversion that did not help me. Those two points would have made ALL the difference in my week. I would have both won my head-to-head match against White Hart Bobby Layne and I would have scored over the league medium. So I am letting everyone know now - at the end of this season I am proposing we make two-point conversions worth two points.
Trade of the Week
Jaylen Waddle was sent to White Hart Bobby Layne for a ‘25 first, a ‘24 second, and George Pickens. This trade makes White Hart Bobby Layne better now and gives Flaccoroni & Cheese more ammo in the draft. And he will need all the ammo he can get to rebuild the former Westminster Wildcats. According to one trade calculator I looked at White Hart Bobby Layne won the trade, but a lot of that is going to depend on how well Neeek drafts with those extra picks. One solid pick and it will all be different.
Blunder of the Week
Even though Greg’s Team gee17 (come on, get a real team name already) won, they get the blunder of the week for not playing De’Von Achane. That is 49 points that could have been. 42 more points that starting running back Brian Robinson. The most points any single has scored since Joe Mixon put up 53 in week 9 of last year. And he will likely never score that many at once again. So shame on you Greg for wasting such a massive score.
Review
Joe Wojda vs. Team gee17
Greg and his team held off Joe’s injury plagued team 124-94. Justin Herbert and Ja’Marr Chase finally had a great outings. On the other hand Joe got a total of two points from his running backs. Joe did splash out a lot of cash for Kenyan Drake on the open market, but he should also consider a trade. I hear that Kyren Williams is on the block.
Jolly Roger vs. Team JoePerm
Team JoePerm had an amazing week, putting up 146 and handing Jolly Roger their first loss of the season. Both teams had excellent weeks and the brakes just went to Joe this time. The rest of the league was torn up to see Jolly Roger have a blemish on their season’s record. They have fallen to 5-1.
That’s What Cheesehead vs. Dan’s To Be Named Team
Despite attempting to tank this season, Adam managed to secure his second straight win, 100-85. Zach Moss and Ken Walker paved the way with 21 and 29 points. For Dan it was lackluster day with all three flex players having down days.
Flaccroni & Cheese vs. Team tccromp
Tyler’s team was masterful this week. With a full roster they managed to score only 26 points! QB Sam Howell put up 0.6 and Devin Duvernay goosed on a single target. This was just tanking at its very best. Not take anything away from Flaccroni & Cheese who had an excellent day with 92 points.
Purdy Good vs. Team Louiewallis
Team Louiewallis improved to 4-2 on the season by defeating the Goods 114-94. Breece Hall (and all Jet’s) are still a concern. With a two weeks total under 5 fantasy points he cannot remain a starter for long. Hard to say when the player’s talent is so extraordinary. The Purdy Goods have got to be giddy about the way Nathaniel “Tank” Dell is breaking out. He can be a core part of the team for years to come.
Team WhiteHartBobbyLayne vs. No-Bell Prizes
The most exciting game of the week came down the final minutes of a Monday night game. The Prizes needed just a little bit more from Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown. Two interceptions (negative four points) really hurt their cause though. In the end White Hart Bobby Layne was excellent and deserved the win 101-100.
