I went back and forth about who should have the honor of being on the cover of this update. In the end Will Levis won out after going 19 of 29 for 238 yards and 4 touchdowns (and 26.62 fantasy points) on his NFL debut. This impressive start to his career was only good enough to be QB6 on the week though. Maybe Levis will keep this up and he can make it back to the cover as the QB1.
This week I wanted to investigate Sleeper’s win percentage numbers for each match up. Every time I look at the app it seems to say something different. So I decided to put that to the test. I wrote a quick program to record each team’s percentage every five minutes throughout the games on Sunday and then graphed the results. Some of the graphs are more interesting than others, but it was a fun exercise. Next time I need to include the number of points scored to see how that effects the results.
Review
Purdy Good vs. Flaccoroni & Cheese
This is probably my favorite graph from the week. Both teams had fairly good odds (according to Sleeper) of winning the day at various point. And after Sunday a winner wasn’t determined yet. In the end Purdy good did pull off the win 83-75, but it was a nail biter throughout most of Sunday.
Team tccromp vs. Joe Wojda
And sometimes you end up with matches that are fairly one sided. Joe’s win was never really in doubt and he carried the day 136-47.
Puk Nukem vs. Team JoePerm
Despite being the underdog for most of Sunday, Puk Nukem managed to pull off a very nice victory, 112-89. It was all thanks to a commanding performance by Jahmyr Gibbs on Monday Night Football. Gibbs led all scorers in this match up with 27 fantasy points.
No-Bell Prizes vs. Team gee17
Team gee17 was a slight favorite starting Sunday, but almost all of the Prizes played in the early time slot. With CeeDee Lamb, A.J. Brown, Tyler Lockett, Javonte Williams, Jalen Hurts, and T.J. Hockenson all scoring over 17 points, Greg didn’t really have a chance. The Prizes won 163-114.
Jolly Roger vs. Team Louiewallis
Jolly Roger got only their second loss this year, going down 119-133. They were hurt by dud games from Mahomes and Kelce. Meanwhile Louie had Jahan Dotson score 20 fantasy points, his most ever.
That’s What Cheesehead vs. Team WhiteHartBobbyLayne
This was another game where Adam’s team was never really in it. Euan won 111-79. Waddle had his best game this year and Gabe Davis found the end zone again.
