Week 12 Review

Kyren Williams gets to be on the cover this week because he scored 35 fantasy points on his return from IR. He looked great and could very well help Joe Wojda make a deep playoff run. Whoever traded him away must be a huge idiot. 🤦

Review

No-Bell Prizes vs. Team Louiewallis

The Prizes got back to winning, defeating Louiewallis 110-94. But this was far from guaranteed, even deep into Monday night. The Prizes had a 12 point lead after Sunday, but Louie still had Justin Fields left to play. Hockenson was also playing for Mark’s team, but the Vikings seemed to decide that playing offense is a dumb idea and kept turning the ball over. Finally Hockenson scored a late touchdown to put the game away and Mark breathed out a giant sigh of relief.

Purdy Good vs. Team WhiteHartBobbyLayne

In a relatively low scoring affair, Purdy Good beat White Hart Bobby Layne 91-68. A bright spot for Purdy Good has been the play of Tank Dell and Rashee Rice. Both players look like they can be foundational pieces for the team going forward.

Puk Nukem vs. Team tccromp

Puk Nukem has continued an amazing run winning 108-78. The team was 9th in the standings in week 6. Now they sit in 4th and look really dangerous going into the playoffs. Trevor Lawrence has found his form just at the right moment and DeVonta Smith has put up several great games in a row. That doesn’t even include Chris Olave, Michael Pittman, or Jahmyr Gibbs. The Nukem’s are not a team I want to meet in the playoffs.

That’s What Cheesehead vs. Flaccoroni & Cheese

Flaccoroni & Cheese won the Cheese Bowl 96-86 despite starting Mac Jones (-0.44 points) at QB and facing Josh Allen on the other side. The team can thank Isiah Pacheco and his season high 23.40 points for picking up the team and carrying them. Of course not all the credit goes to Neeek’s team. Adam only had two players break into double digits, Josh Allen (39 points) and Devon Singletary (10 points). You need a bit more boom to get wins in this league.

Team gee17 vs. Jolly Roger

The top two teams played either other this week, and just like in week 1 Jolly Roger came away the winner, 151-102. Looking down the list of starters for both teams shows Greg only had one player who outscored his direct opponent - Nico Collins. It sure looks like after two seasons not lifting the trophy that Jolly Roger has a great chance to get it back.

Team JoePerm vs. Joe Wojda

In the Joe Bowl, Joe Wojda won for the second time this season, making him the Joe of the year. The 134-123 victory can be attributed to the running game where Derrick Henry and Kyren Williams out scored Jonathan Taylor and Saquon Barkley 55 to 26. JoePerm has had a very up and down season, scoring a ton of points one week and then very few the next. This week they were unlucky to score the third most points on the week but still lose. At least the bonus win helps soften the blow.
