Week 13 Review

DK Metcalf went off on Thursday night, catching six passes for 134 yards and three touchdowns! This was good enough for 34 fantasy points which helped Greg power ahead to the high score for the week. Oh wait, no it did not because Metcalf was on Greg’s bench. What a dumb-dumb.

Trade of the Week

We did see several trades completed right before the trade deadline. Uncharacteristically Jolly Roger did not part take in any of them. Maybe they feel confident in their roster? Maybe no one wanted to trade with the three time champs? Or maybe Sleeper really has hindered their ability to get trades done? The world may never know.

But of the trades that were done, the trade of the week was Joe Burrow, a 2024 3rd and a 2025 1st and 3rd for Josh Allen and Zack Moss. Adam gets the Burrow side and JoePerm gets the other. Joe is currently in the playoffs so Josh Allen should beef up the roster to try and make a run.

Review

That’s What Cheesehead vs. Team tccromp

At one point I looked at the scores and I thought that TC might finally get a win. Then Adam managed to shut that thought down to win 67-59. These teams will hold the top two draft picks in 2024.

Flaccoroni & Cheese vs. Puk Nukem

Puk Nukem continues a run of dominance in the last few weeks, defeating Flaccoroni & Cheese 139-100. The 139 was enough to secure the highest score of the week and move the team up to second in the power rankings. Trevor Lawrence has been on fire lately but Dan has got to be a bit worried about Puka’s shoulder. Though Puka is expected to suit up in week 14.

Joe Wojda vs. Jolly Roger

Joe has a tough run to end the season and was unlucky to lose 112-137 to Jolly Roger. Neither team made the right choice at QB with Geno Smith and Dak Prescott both outscoring their team’s starters. Joe will have another tough test in week 14 and will have to hope that his recently acquired RBs can continue to be fantasy gold. Jolly Roger has now locked up the number one seed and a bye in the playoffs. Joe is most likely in the playoffs, but could be knocked out with a loss and a low score.

Team gee17 vs. Team JoePerm

Team gee17 is not giving an inch at the top of the standings, out scoring JoePerm 129-114. This locks up the number two seed and a first round bye in the playoffs. Greg’s score could have been much higher but poor start/sit decisions held the team back. Stafford and Metcalf and both screaming to be put into the game. On the other side Joe had three players goose him (Hollywood Brown, Noah Brown, and Trey Sermon) and still managed to put up an above average score. After the game the team rebranded as ILoveMichaelKeatonMitchel.

Purdy Good vs. No-Bell Prizes

As an example of exactly what the Prizes did not want to happen, they lost to Purdy Good 113-91, also missing out on the bonus win. Austin Ekeler seems determined to destroy the season for the Prizes after they spent so much going and getting him. (Can you tell I’m regretting my decisions?) Still all will be forgiven with some big performances in the playoffs. In this matchup both teams had gooses, Logan Thomas for the Prizes and fellow Washington Command Terry McLaurin for the Goods. Tank Dell also goosed the Goods, but that was due to injury. The Prizes will be looking for a strong finish and a little bit of momentum in week 14.

Team WhiteHartBobbyLayne vs. Team Louiewallis

White Hart Bobby Layne just kept their playoff hopes alive with a 91-84 win over Louiewallis. Either team could still make the playoffs with big wins in week 14 and a little outside help. Points scored is going to be important but could be an issue because both teams got under 10 points from the QBs and yet both played their best option. Crazy. It is time for these teams to go big or go home.
